A 3-hr Ethics program will expose participants to relevant topics and discussions of the challenges of Ethics in a brave new world of technology, information, and changing societal norms. 

The content of the course will focus on the day-to-day challenges of operating Ethically in the insurance marketplace and how those challenges are addressed by companies, insurance agents, and consumers. Discussion will revolve around the legal aspects of ethics, the definition of ethics and how to apply those concepts and values in real-world scenarios of Ethical practices. Attendees will be asked to discuss and reviewed how insurance professional must apply those principles in a rapidly changing world to better protect insurance consumers. Participants will engage in discussions about how Ethics intersects with the ubiquitous volume of information resources available to insurance producers as well as insurance companies. Underwriting of policies using refined data sources will be discussed and the agent’s role to working between carriers and consumers. 

This course has relevant material for all levels of insurance experience from beginners to more experienced insurance professionals.

This program of insurance instruction is a 4-hour, intermediate course targeting all levels of insurance professionals from company underwriters through insurance agents and CSR’s. The program uses an interactive format to engage in discussions related to the common issues experienced in the retail insurance markets related to proper risk evaluation, transfer of risk from consumer to insurance carrier, and periodic re-evaluation by the insurance of those exposures. Program also focuses on professional obligations and responsibilities imposed by courts, statutes, company contracts, and peer/industry standards. Topics covered include in-depth discussions of coverage available in the Personal Line market and Commercial Lines markets. 

Through each step of the program, participants will be given specific procedures to implement that will help avoid the risk of being sued through claims of Errors and Omissions.

This is a 3-hour intermediate course of insurance instruction designed for a wide range of insurance personnel including agency staff and company employees. The course uses an interactive and participatory format. 

Topics covered include in-depth discussions of the various risk exposures faced by owners of properties in the commercial lines and personal lines marketplace and how those exposures to risk and loss vary from the exposures and risks faced by parties that find themselves the tenants pf properties. Discussions will include contractual risk transfer, leases, triplenet leases, and the assumption of legal liability through these various methods. Discussion will also include the unique nature of properties owned and occupied by the parties to trust arrangements. 

The program is designed to provide up-to-date market information to insurance professionals to make them better advocates for policyholders and better representatives of the insurance companies they represent.

The course uses an interactive and participatory format to engage in discussions related to the evaluation of insurance risks, the role of an insurance intermediary in the transfer of risk from consumer to insurance carrier, and the risks associated with professional obligations and responsibilities imposed by courts, laws regulating the sale of insurance, and peer/industry standards. Topics covered include common mistakes made in processing both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines policies. 

Through each step of the program, participants will be given specific procedures to implement that will help avoid the risk of being sued through claims of Errors and Omissions.
